Since Ike is not coming to blow off our roof and leave us without electricity, can I offer you a can of sardines, a bottle of water or a fresh pack of C batteries??
Great. Can you help me take down the hurricane shutters?
wow, I am glad that you have the shutters but it must be a ton of work. I would have to resist the red-neck temptation to leave on the ones on non-important windows in prep for the next storm. You know like some people do their Christmas lights :)
I'm just glad you guys are safe. But not resisting our southern jokes...judging from the lovely shutters your home displays, can I also invision an old beat up truck on concrete blocks in the front yard? Love you guys!
How frustrating to be all prepared with none of the drama. Kind of like all of the people who stocked up "just in case" for Y2K then NOTHING happened. I knew someone who stocked their pantry with bottled water, powdered milk and canned goods all for nothing.
We all have our "thing". I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I will remember this the next time the Michigan snow belt gets two feet in a day, and the sun is shining there.

Those are some serious shutters.
If you can promise me some sunshine (and an airline ticket), I'll be down there to help in a heartbeat!

Look at it this way...at least you are already prepared when the next one comes your way ;-)

So glad all is peaceful for now as far as this goes. Or is there more I should know about?
