I wanted to add: When he opened the present from Grandma and Grandpa in WI the box was a toaster box. We all knew that the present was NOT a toaster, and we teased him about the box. "A toaster??? What are you going to do with a toaster?" He, ever so diplomatic, replied, "It is a FOUR slice toaster!" :)

I love the birthday cookie. What a fun idea. I might try that next Friday. Maybe take to to the fireworks. It's less messy than cake.
For some reason, that first shot of him holding his dollar bills cracked me. He just looks so excited and it's only a few dollars! Oh to be 8 again.
Hi there!
Thanks for visiting me today. I hope you'll come again...you're always welcome.
I've enjoyed my visit here too. Your boys are adorable.
Hugs!
Kat
The money shot made me smile... it all looks fake compared to ours lol!
hahaha
when I was about your son's age, or a little younger, for Christmas, I got a gift and I opened it up to see a Coffee Maker and I was so upset because I don't drink coffee, you see, why would anyone give me a coffee maker. Well, I said thank you and put it aside and opened my other presents. Finally someone convinced me to look inside the coffee maker box and would you believe it? It was NOT a coffee maker!! It was a stuffed animal. A mouse to be exact. A mouse in a dress. Her name is Miss Mouse. :) hehehe I still have her somewhere I think.
oh and Happy Birthday to your son! :)
