A Celebration of Life

The last few days have been very sureal. And, although it doesn't happen often in life... I'm left with little to say. Or maybe, little to type without crying. My brother passed on Friday, August 8.
But I feel the need to focus on what I've been given rather than what I've lost. Through God's grace I had 37 years with a fabulous brother. Tonight we will gather to celebrate his life.
We truly are being held up by God's strength. Thank you, in advance, for continuing to pray for our family and especially for my brother's daughters and his wife. Please also remember in your prayers the three men who received organs donated from Jim.

Oh, my dear sweet friend. We have earnestly prayed for you and your family everyday, calling each one by name, since you moved. I don't know why God deemed your return to FL to begin so sadly, but I know that He knew well in advance and has prepared you for this time. It is no mistake that you were there to help care for your dad, and now in the wake of this transition to Glory for Jim. I have thought of you every single day since you left, and our family is commited to continue to pray for you each and every day of your life (unless sometime I get old and forget my name & yours too!) But even then, God knows our hearts. You and your family are so dear to us & we love you. Please call, email, or hit my blog if you need or want anything. I may be many miles away now, but I am here for you, day and night (I mean that!) Again, we love you guys!

Sending (((BIG HUGS))) to you and your family. It is never easy to lose someone you love.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Was glad to 'meet' you through your comment over at my 'place' and came over to see your blog--and read your sad news. So sorry for your loss, even more so in a season of relocation and change for your family. Praying that you find strength and comfort through the Lord.
Blessings~

I saw sweet pirate hatted you over at Mary Lu's so I decided to come by. I am so glad that I did. I am truly sorry about the loss of your brother. I will be praying for you, your family, and your brother's family.

I, too, am so glad that he was willing to be an organ donor. Someone got my father's eyes when he passed away, and for some reason, that has always been such a blessing for me to know.

May you feel your Heavenly Father holding you and carrying you through.

Love,
K

I don't know if you check new comments in old posts, but I want to send my sympathies to you over your brother's passing at such a young age. I love the photo you posted before this one - one of those real-life I'll remember you just like this kind of photos!!

I pray for God's loving arms to hold you as you mourn. And I pray for his daughters and wife.

May you find strength and peace.
